There is always two sides. Always
This is one of my life changing realizations. It is a nature's law that everything which has one effect, hopefully positive, always comes with a trade-off, with another side, often negative or lets say less-positive.
I started practicing meditation some years ago when I was in a deep hole. I still maintain the opinion that it helped me to climb out of this hole. I now came across this article via my Pocket feed, The Side Effects of Meditation No One Talks About.
"Meditation is powerful. It’s a skill not to be taken lightly, and in the right circumstance can provide incredible benefit, and in others, harm."
I did experience some of the negative effects of meditation described in the article. Nausea, dizziness, tunnel vision etc. Anything as powerful as meditation must have a bigger impact than the one we already know. Science is only at the beginning of understanding what meditation does to our neurological system. Until then, let's use it with care.
